Again Bill's job forced a move from Nottingham to Wokingham.They again brought a house and settled in to making a new life. Joan got a job with Royal Berkshire County Council. She worked her way up to Data Controler and was highly regarded by all her superiors. Again she made many good friends. She and Bill had many happy years in Wokingham and she loved to give dinner parties and casual events. Joan retired from work in 1998. Bill followed in 2000. They spent time woking on the house and garden and had many holidays in various places in the world.
